About the role
The role involves evaluating warehouse processes for automation, implementing automation systems, managing projects, maintenance, and support. It requires training staff, ensuring safety compliance, cost management, and collaboration with IT and other departments. Skills include technical proficiency in programming, automation systems and project management.
Your responsibilities
Ability to evaluate current warehouse processes, research suitable automation technologies, and make recommendations based on specific needs and goals.
Proficiency in planning and executing automation system implementations, collaborating with vendors, and ensuring seamless integration with existing warehouse infrastructure.
Skills in developing and managing project plans, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful execution of automation initiatives.
Maintenance and Support: Capability to establish proactive maintenance programs, implement preventive maintenance schedules, and promptly address issues to ensure optimal performance of automation systems.
Training and Development: Ability to provide training programs for warehouse staff on the proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automation systems, along with developing training materials to support ongoing skill development.
You will have
7 - 10 year’s overall warehouse automation experience
In-depth understanding of warehouse automation technologies, such as conveyor systems, robotic systems, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Proficiency in programming languages relevant to automation systems, such as Python, Java, or other scripting languages.
Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data generated by automated systems to identify trends, bottlenecks, risk assessment, and opportunities for improvement.
Project Management: Skills in planning and executing automation projects, including setting timelines, resource allocation, working with cross-functional teams and managing budgets.
Supply Chain Understanding: Deep understanding of warehouse and supply chain operations, regulation and standard, logistics, and industry best practices.
