About the role
As a Software Engineer, you will be a vital member of our project team, contributing to system development and enhancement, and performing system installations at client sites. Your role will involve ensuring project objectives, scope, constraints, and deliverables are clearly defined and met. You will develop and enhance its CMS product based on new customer requirements and apply domain knowledge in Payments, POS, ATM, and Financial Switching to software code deliverables.
Your responsibilities
Project Team Participation: Be an integral member of the project team, actively contributing to various stages of the project lifecycle.
System Development & Enhancement: Develop and enhance Cardzone CMS products based on new customer requirements.
System Installation: Perform system installations at client sites.
Domain Knowledge Application: Learn and apply domain knowledge (Payments, POS, ATM, Financial Switching) into software code deliverables.
Project Management: Ensure the objectives, scope, constraints, and deliverables for the project are clearly defined and met.
Customer Site Deployment: Participate in specific stints at customer sites for development, deployment, SIT, UAT, and Go-Live phases.
You will have
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or equivalent.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Java (J2SE, J2EE).
Experience with JavaScript and JavaScript libraries.
Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
Familiarity with database servers such as Oracle, DB2, MySQL, etc.
Understanding of web application servers like Websphere, Oc4j, Jboss, Tomcat, etc.
Bonus Points:
Knowledge in mobile app development, the payments and cards industry, ISO8583, and NDC+.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work on-site if required.
Willingness to travel overseas, with per-diem travel allowance provided.
Entry Level: Fresh graduates/entry-level applicants are encouraged to apply.
Good To Have:
Mobile Application Development: Design and build iOS and Android mobile applications.
SDK Knowledge: Good knowledge of Android and iOS SDKs.
Portfolio: A portfolio of iOS/Android apps in the PlayStore/App Store is a plus.
Hands-On Experience: Experience with Android Studio and Gradle build system.
APIs: Experience with location and map APIs.
