About the role
You will plan, lead and drive all technical aspects and application development of Food Innovation Centre (FIC) globally. To align and support business growth and strategy of business in the respective countries and as a region. Share best practices, identify and develop new product applications, provide technical solutions and trainings to stakeholders across the region. Drive technical excellence to support commercial & business growth.
You will be reporting to Head of Sales, Global with 2-3 direct subordinates.
Lead the local technical team to support the commercial team:
Strategize, plan, lead & drive all technical aspects for Food Innovation Centre (FIC), create work processes for FIC.
To provide technical solutions & application training to the technical, commercial team & customers. To conduct virtual or online webinar/ session if required.
Learning new technologies and transferring knowledge to the technical, sales or commercial & marketing teams.
Develop proof of concept for prototypes to grow in focus ingredients and technologies.
Identify opportunities of new products or applications from ingredient portfolio & new trends. Reproduce some of our customers’ industrial processes in a lab scale environment to demonstrate.
Joint visits with commercial teams when required for prototype presentation to customers.
Working with marketing or commercial team to proactively develop marketing tools and demo kits.
Represent company at industry events, food shows and conferences.
Evaluate competitive product and record information on the same.
Managing the FIC with local leads.
Improving competency of the FIC by increasing the capabilities and equipment as well.
Ensuring that the FIC complies with Best Practices, Safety & GMP standards To create technical project management system of FIC in place.
You will have
Candidate with a Master’s Degree in Food Science/Food Technology/Chemistry will have an advantage while those with relevant technical experience will also be considered.
Minimum 13-15 years of experience in the R&D Formulation Development Function/ Application Development Function with 6-8 years managerial experiences with broaden knowledge in food application / market trends.
Self-motivated, driven, independent and result oriented.
Good command of spoken English with solid writing skills to write reports, training & procedures materials.
Effective communication skills to clearly present technical & product information to both internal & external stake holders.
Ability to travel as required to achieve business objective.
The ability to lead, work independently and as part of a team, good team player in a multi-cultural environment.
