My client is currently seeking a Sales Development Representative to join their young and newly establish passionate team in Singapore. They are a leading payment processing platform renowned for its seamless, secure, and efficient transaction solutions. With a commitment to innovation and reliability, they empower businesses worldwide to effortlessly manage their payment processes, drive growth, and enhance customer experiences.

About the role

This role reports directly to the Head of SDR that sits in Singapore. You will be focusing on driving new business accounts across APAC. This is a very important position as my client has a mission to create stickiness as an organization that is well known as the go-to payment company by 2025.

Your responsibilities

  • Prospecting: Research and identify potential customers or clients through various channels such as LinkedIn, company databases, and industry events.

  • Outreach: Reach out to prospects via email, phone calls, social media, and other communication channels to introduce the company's products or services and establish initial contact.

  • Qualification: Assess the suitability of prospects by qualifying them based on predetermined criteria such as budget, need, authority, and timeline (BANT).

  • Lead Generation: Generate leads and schedule appointments or demos for Account Executives (AEs) or Sales Managers to further qualify and pursue.

  • Follow-up: Nurture relationships with leads through ongoing communication, providing relevant information, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

  • Pipeline Management: Keep track of all interactions with prospects in the CRM system, update lead statuses, and ensure accurate and up-to-date pipeline data.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with AEs, Sales Managers, and other members of the sales team to strategize on prospecting approaches, share insights, and optimize sales processes.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, product updates, and competitive landscape to effectively communicate the value proposition and address customer needs.

  • Metrics Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as number of outbound calls/emails, conversion rates, and pipeline growth to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Stay informed about the ever-evolving payments industry by conducting proactive research and reading and share valuable insights and updates with the Account Management (AM) team to enhance collective knowledge and expertise.

  • Customer Experience: Ensure a positive experience for prospects throughout the sales process, demonstrating responsiveness, professionalism, and empathy.

You will have

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.

  • At least 1 - 2 years of relevant work experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Mandarin is a plus.

  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.

  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Desire to develop a career providing financial technology solutions to top companies in their various industries.
