About the role

The New Market Development Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the planning and execution for international expansion efforts. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for entering new markets, establishing warehouse operations, and ensuring the successful setup and launch of operations in new countries. The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, coordination, and monitoring of international operations to drive efficiency, optimize resources, and achieve business objectives.

Your responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution for international expansion strategy, including market research, feasibility analysis, and site selection for new warehouse locations.

  • Assist in developing comprehensive project plans and timelines for new country setup initiatives, coordinating activities across various departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely execution.

  • Conduct research and analysis to assess market dynamics, competitive landscape, regulatory requirements, and logistical considerations for entering new countries.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, supply chain, finance, and legal, to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities during the setup phase.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational processes, procedures, and best practices for warehouse setup and operations in new countries.

  • Coordinate with external partners, vendors, and service providers to procure necessary resources, equipment, and services for new country setup projects.

  • Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and identify risks and issues that may impact the successful setup of operations in new countries.

  • Assist in preparing and presenting project status updates, progress reports, and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.

  • Provide support and guidance to on-the-ground teams during the setup phase, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to established standards and timelines.

  • Contribute to post-setup evaluation and continuous improvement efforts, capturing lessons learned and identifying opportunities to enhance future new country setup initiatives.

You will have

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management, operations management, or supply chain management, with exposure to international operations or expansion projects.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and translate insights into actionable plans and initiatives.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders across different levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management concepts and best practices.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or similar platforms.

  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed to support new country setup initiatives.
