About our client
Our client is one of the Singapore Government Ministries.
About the role
This government body is looking for dynamic, purpose-driven individuals with a passion for technology, and who appreciate how Government is an advocate and enabler for long-term growth. They want people who have a vision for what technology can do and can effectively communicate this both verbally and in writing. They are also looking for collaborative problem solvers that thrive in complex and fast-moving environments.
In addition to industry partners – such as innovators, investors, tech companies and key associations – they work closely with a number of other government agencies as well as other Whole-of-Government stakeholders.
Analyze and understand the intersection of tech and industry developments, to identify salient trends and the opportunities/threats they present for Singapore.
Formulate policy responses to advance Singapore’s longer-term interests, including by developing policy principles, and deploying the full suite of Government interventions within the economic domain (e.g. innovation and infrastructure investments, regulations, partnerships, direct provision, accreditation, and standard-setting, among others).
Work across other parts of Government (including the agencies mentioned above) to translate growth in the Digital Economy into opportunities for value creation and good jobs, while managing trade-offs in the security and social domains.
Strategically review the budgets and programs for Digital Economy initiatives delivered by our statutory boards.
