About the role

You will be presented with the opportunity to make an impact by having your voice heard by everyone, including management.

Your responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure efficient development workflows and promote collaboration between development and operations teams.

  • Manage and automate infrastructure, application configurations, and deployments using Git as the single source of truth, following the GitOps methodology for version control and declarative infrastructure management.

  • Identify and mitigate security risks by implementing security best practices, integrating security measures into the development lifecycle, and ensuring the protection of applications, systems, and networks.

  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security while troubleshooting network-related issues.

  • Deploy, manage, and scale applications and infrastructure on the AWS cloud platform, utilizing AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, and others.

  • Collaborate with development, QA, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of operations and infrastructure components into the software development lifecycle.

  • Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members, assisting in the resolution of complex issues.

  • Continuously research, evaluate, and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our tech operations and infrastructure.

  • 24/7 on-call in rotation with team for incident response.

You will have

  • Strong experience in infrastructure management, DevOps, GitOps, SecOps, network engineering, and AWS cloud platform.

  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, such as Python, Ruby, or Go.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Familiarity with GitOps methodologies and IaC tooling such as the AWS CDK.

  • Experience in implementing and maintaining security best practices and tools, such as intrusion detection systems, vulnerability scanners, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.

  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices, with experience in deploying and managing production workloads on the AWS platform.

  • AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, are a plus.

  • Working knowledge in documenting processes and interfaces using common tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or other reporting tool.
