About the role
We are seeking a versatile and skilled Engineering Murex Developer/System Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a Murex Developer/System Administrator, you will be responsible for both Murex development and AIX system administration tasks, ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of Murex applications on AIX platforms for our clients in the financial services industry. You will collaborate closely with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client requirements and expectations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Murex platform functionalities and possess hands-on experience in Murex development, configuration, and customization. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
Your responsibilities
Develop and customize Murex solutions to meet client requirements.
Perform AIX system administration tasks, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse business requirements.
Design, implement, and test Murex enhancements and configurations.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Murex applications.
Provide support and maintenance for existing Murex implementations.
Ensure compliance with coding standards, best practices, and project deadlines.
Stay updated on Murex platform updates, new features, and industry trends.
Participate in knowledge sharing activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
You will have
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
1-2 years, 3-5 years min. of experience in Murex development and AIX system administration or relevant industry.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or SQL.
Hands-on experience with Murex platform (MxML, Murex Datamart, Murex Reporting, etc.).
Strong understanding of financial markets, trading, and risk management concepts.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
Certification in Murex (e.g., Murex Certified Developer) and AIX (e.g., IBM Certified System Administrator - AIX) is desirable but not mandatory.
