About the role

As a DevOps Engineer in our Digital Banking team, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing the continuous integration and deployment pipelines for our banking applications. You will work closely with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff members to oversee code releases and deployments. Your role will ensure that the software development lifecycle is maintained with high efficiency and quality.

Your responsibilities

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management:

    • Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

    • Automate and optimize the development and deployment processes.

  • Infrastructure Management:

    • Manage and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.

    • Ensure systems are secure, scalable, and resilient.

  • Collaboration & Support:

    • Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and operational efficiencies.

    • Provide support and troubleshooting for development and production environments.

  • Monitoring & Performance Tuning:

    • Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health and performance.

    • Perform performance tuning and optimization for applications and infrastructure.

  • Security & Compliance:

    • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

    • Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments.

You will have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 5-7 years of experience in DevOps, with a strong focus on Unix Shell and Python programming.

Technical Skills:

  • Unix Shell (P3 - Advanced): Advanced proficiency in Unix shell scripting, including automation and task scheduling.

  • Python (Programming Language) (P3 - Advanced): Advanced proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and integration purposes.

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry.

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and related technologies.
