About the role
As a Data EDW Developer at this company, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our enterprise data warehouse (EDW) solutions. You will work closely with data analysts, business stakeholders, and IT teams to ensure data integrity, performance, and availability. Your expertise in Teradata, Informatica, Oracle SQL, and AS400 will be crucial in managing and optimizing our data infrastructure.
Your responsibilities
Data Warehouse Development & Maintenance:
Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions using Teradata and Informatica.
Optimize ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.
Database Administration:
Perform advanced administration tasks on Teradata and AS400 systems.
Ensure database performance, security, and reliability.
SQL Development:
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries in Oracle SQL for data extraction and reporting.
Ensure SQL code adheres to best practices and performance standards.
System Integration & Support:
Integrate data from various sources into the EDW.
Provide support for ETL processes and data integration workflows.
Performance Tuning & Optimization:
Monitor and tune database performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues to ensure optimal performance.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
Document data processes, architectures, and solutions.
You will have
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
4-7 years of experience in data warehousing, database administration, and ETL development.
Technical Skills:
Teradata Administration (P3 - Advanced): Advanced proficiency in Teradata database administration, including performance tuning, security management, and backup/recovery.
Informatica Administration (P3 - Advanced): Advanced proficiency in Informatica administration, including installation, configuration, and management of Informatica PowerCenter.
Oracle SQL (P3 - Advanced): Advanced proficiency in Oracle SQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.
AS400 Administration (P3 - Advanced): Advanced proficiency in AS400 system administration, including user management, security, and system monitoring.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
Knowledge of data modeling and data architecture principles.
Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
Experience with Agile methodologies.
