About the role
This role is about growing the business which is already successful to be amongst the top 5 FMCG brands in the region.
Leadership & Strategic Direction: Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the goals of the Institute.
Development: Cultivate a positive and innovative work environment. Hire, train, and lead a team of economists to conduct high-level research and analysis.
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain and enhance relationships with all key stakeholders, including government officials, private sector entities, and academic institutions.
Public Speaking & Media Relations: Represent the Institute in public forums, press conferences, and media engagements. Communicate economic forecasts and policy positions effectively.
Project Acquisition: Leverage business acumen to secure consultancy projects and funding sources. Ensure the financial sustainability of the Institute.
Report to and manage the board of directors and various internal stakeholders.
Develop and implement a strategic plan for the growth and development of the business, and to develop a 5 year plan.
Grow business >10% year-on-year for the next 5 years.
Ensure healthy EBITDA and growth of the organization.
You will have
A degree in business or a related field from a recognized institution.
Proven leadership experience.
Excellent public speaking skills and media relations experience.
Strong business acumen with a track record of securing funding or business.
Proven experience in team development and management.
