About the role
Systems Administrator to join a growing global operations team. As a Data Center Operations team member, you will be joining a collaborative team responsible for delivery and support of mission critical infrastructure used by major brands across the globe.
Your responsibilities

Implement and maintain AIX, Linux, Spectrum Scale, MQ, and related software.

Ensure the stability, integrity and efficient operation of SaaS environments.

Monitor, maintain, support and optimize all systems and associated networked applications.

Document system implementations, upgrades, and patches.
-
Perform problem analysis and resolution tasks for systems.
-
Develop and implement scripts to manage operational and administrative needs.
-
Design and implement security and performance tuning best practices.
-
Perform Disaster Recovery tests and improve DR plans to ensure SLAs and SLOs are met.
You will have
Prior Experience
-
4-6 year’s hands-on experience with AIX 6.1 and higher.
-
3 years’ hands-on experience with IBM Spectrum Scale 4.1 and higher.
-
3 years’ hands-on experience with Linux administration.
-
3 years’ experience with SAN storage administration, preferably IBM FS9150.
Skills & Qualities
-
Strong AIX administration and troubleshooting skills: LVM, NIM, VIOS, SEA, LPM, NPIV.

Strong Spectrum Scale 4.1 and higher implementation and administration skills.
-
IBM Power Systems, PowerVM, HMC implementation and administration.
-
Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration.
-
Proficient with SAN storage administration, FC switch administration and SAN zoning.

Proficient with IBM Flashcopy, replication technologies and D R processes.

Proficient with Unix Shell scripting: ksh, perl, awk.

Proficient with Networking technologies and common TCP/IP protocols and applications: NFS, SAMBA, SMTP, SSL, SSH, SFTP, PKI.

Familiarity with Middleware such as Tomcat, WebLogic, IBM MQ, etc.

Familiarity with Web, EDI, XML, RDBMS and Java Programming is a strong plus.

Demonstrable motivation and initiative in working with a global operations team.

Problem solving skill with excellent written and oral communication skill.
Education & Professional Qualifications
-
B.S. Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent computer-related education.
Special Work Hours Requirement
-
Participate in incident handling and off-hours/weekend maintenance activities, as necessary.
