About the role

  • Own the in-house Development and Testing practice for core banking platform and its ecosystem, experience with Core Banking will be an advantage.

  • Lead a large development team distributed across Singapore and India. Continuously optimize the technology sourcing model and strengthen our in-house development capabilities.

  • Ensure the successful delivery of the committed book of work, covering both the major change programmes as well as business enhancements.

  • Continuously improve the delivery practices, processes and tools, driving further adoption of Agile, Continuous Delivery, DevOps, and Lean IT practices within the department.

  • Partner with the Architecture team and product vendors to drive the transformation of the applications used by the bank to leverage the new generation of technology paradigms, including modular design, micro-services with API-s, PaaS, Big Data.


Your responsibilities

  • Application development background, with the experience of developing mission critical applications.

  • Experience of working, and delivering technology solutions, in the financial services sector.

  • Good knowledge of the core banking domain and experience of delivering core banking solutions.

  • Good knowledge of a variety of solution, integration & application architectures.

  • Experience of agile methodologies.

  • Experience of managing vendor delivery and relationships, including vendor commercials.

  • Experience of identifying and driving process and quality improvement activities.

  • Experience of the full project lifecycle, delivering both bespoke and package applications.

  • Proven track record of successful delivery of multiple medium and large scale IT projects on time and budget.

  • Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects.

  • Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation processes.

  • Good understanding of the technology infrastructure and hardware configurations, e.g. physical/virtual servers, Linux/AIX, PaaS, application servers, databases, messaging middleware.
