Global supplier for cloud based on-demand software, expanding their IT Centre in Malaysia.
About the role
Network Engineer to join a growing global operations team. As a member of the Network Operations organization, you will be joining a high-powered collaborative team responsible for delivery and support of private and public cloud network infrastructure required for mission critical applications used by major brands across the globe.
Your responsibilities

Be an active contributor in a geographically diverse team of network engineers.

Design, build, maintain and support LAN/WAN infrastructure for SaaS delivered business solutions; private cloud and AWS public cloud.

Perform Security auditing, risk assessment, remediation and vulnerability management.

Execute, maintain and enhance Disaster Recovery procedures and strategies.

Perform problem analysis and resolution tasks as part of an on-call support rotation.

Collaborate with other IT teams to provide services and support.
You will have
Prior Experience
-
5-7 years’ primary experience as a Network Engineer for Cisco Products.
-
5+ years’ experience with SD-WAN, VPN, MFA, Radius/ACS technologies.
-
3+ years’ experience with patch management, vulnerability management, security scanning tools; Rapid7 and Wazuh experience a plus.
-
2+ years’ experience with AWS; VPC, ELB/ALB, Direct Connect, WAF or Route 53.
Skills & Qualities

Proficient in Routing, Switching, and Firewall solutions from Cisco. Specifically, Cisco ASA, Firepower, Catalyst and Nexus. Experience with Meraki a plus.

Proficient in common Networking protocols, Management Software, Security Practices.

Familiar with ISP connections, point-to-point leased data circuits, and SD-WAN.

Experience with Linux, Windows, sendmail/SMTP, shell scripting.

Knowledge of VMware ESXi virtualization technology.

Experience and understanding of change and patch management.

Highly motivated and demonstrate high level of initiative.

8. Demonstrated problem solving skill with excellent written and oral communication skill.
Education & Professional Qualifications
-
B.S. Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent computer-related education.
-
CCNP/CCIE certification preferred.
Special Work Hours Requirement
-
Participate in incident handling and off-hours/weekend maintenance activities, as necessary.
