About the role

To provide efficient and customer focused support to all user of Information Technology in the area of application administration and process automation.

 

This role’s primary focus will be to create and maintain application user accounts, code deployments, application setups, provide application system administration and support on a day to day basis. Applications include but not limited to Oracle E-Business Suite Rel, Oracle Cloud SaaS application, Jira/Confluence, OrgPublisher, Slack, GL Wand and HP PPM Migration tools. 

 

Streamline user management and application administration process, identify opportunity for automation and work with development team to deliver solution.

 

Perform minor development tasks to eliminate redundant work.

 

Perform user revalidation exercise to ensure compliance to SOX audit. 

 

As a Senior, this role will help manage the team service level and resources allocation where possible

 

Your responsibilities

  • Streamline user management (provisioning, update, termination) process.  

  • Process mapping, identify automation opportunity. Work with development team to deliver the automated solution.

  • Perform minor development work that will eliminate routine tasks, when possible.

  • Act as a single point of contact for business users.

  • Provide guidance to all application administrator.

  • Drive and ensure all the team members are in compliance with audit inspection.

  • Work closely with financial controllers in all regions on Purchasing Hierarchy Approvals.

  • Utilise the Help Desk system (Service Now) for logging, accurate reflection of caller requests and assigning / escalating issues where needed.

  • Provide first and second level support, taking ownership, accurately diagnosing and rectifying users issues for troubleshooting of incidents/problems including:

  • Proactively work with ResMed Security and Compliance officer to audit user management’s compliance. 

  • Perform tasks within established standards and contribute to developing standards where they don’t currently exist.

  • Ability to perform Oracle E-Business Suites Application (on-prem & cloud) system administration as below

    • Resolved user access issue.
    • Create and modify function menus.
    • Create and modify Oracle responsibilities.
    • Setup Alert.
    • Printer setup.
    • Worked on release work order issue.
    • Monitor workflow notification processes.
    • Monitor concurrent managers and requests.
    • Perform various program migrations to User Acceptance and Production environment.
    • Approval of Purchasing hierarchy setup.
    • Delegation rule setup.
    • Assist Business analyst to resolve workflow related issue.
    • Delegate oracle workflow for user.
    • Resolve alert distribution list issue.
    • Publish Purchasing Approval hierarchy to RESMED internal website using OrgPublisher.
  • Ability to provide Jira/Confluence administration tasks such as:

    • User access management.

    • Ability to create/modify Workflows (including validators and post functions).

    • Ability to create/modify issue types, field configuration and screens in JIRA, as well as Confluence spaces and Pages.

    • Ability to create and modify dashboards in JIRA.

    • Ability to create filters using JQL.

    • Solid understanding of permissions (Global, project level, groups).

  • Provide user provisioning and administration support including:

    • Create new employee accounts.

    • Modify existing user accounts.

    • Liaise with application specialists, SOX Analysts, Finance, and HR as required in addressing user access requirements.

    • Reset Password, End-date, terminate or delete accounts. 

  • Ability to perform month end monitoring and fine tune concurrent manager related setting

  • Pro-actively look for ways to improve system administration and user management processes

  • Installation of tools required to connect to Oracle databases such as SQLPlus, Toad, SQL Developer and Java client. 

  • Participate in the 24*7*365 support roster upon mastering the required skills

  • This role requires access to regulated personal data, also known as Protected Health Information (PHI) under the US HIPAA & HITECH legislation.

  • Maintain compliance with ResMed Information Security Policies and Standards. 

  • Undergo refresher training, at least annually but also as required, on protecting personal data

  • Able to assist Business Analysts by being involved into their work scope on a basic level (examples include: experience creating minor changes to oracle like creating responsibilities, attending GCAB) to get a better understanding on how the business analyst processes are like.

  • Ensure confidence is implied when communicating with the users providing detailed statements or answers and also to assist system administrators providing guidance whenever they are unable to meet SLA / not sure what to communicate / taking ownership of their tickets when they are away.

  • ‘Think out of the box’ situations where you will be required to make decisions (examples include retrofitting approvals on urgent PROD migrations which falls on a non-working day) and other situations that may arise that is not part of your daily tasks.

  • Proactively taking charge of ownership for certain ongoing activities to present back to the business (examples include user revalidation quarterly exercises, clean-up of responsibilities) and delegation of tasks to system administrators. 

 

You will have

  • Computing / Information Systems Degree.

  • Strong discipline in documentation.

  • 6 years of experienced in Application Support/Administration role, preferably in support of Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Cloud Application, JIRA,/Confluence  or any enterprise systems.

  • 1 year of developer experience in (Java, SQL, API, Workflow tools, Scripting).

  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills.

  • Experience in application and business process automation such as user provisioning/management space, approval workflow process, Jira workspace.

  • Independent problem solving skills; self-direction.

  • Good SQL knowledge.

  • Possessed good academic results in subjects related to database management.

 

Preferred

  • ITIL foundation qualifications or applied knowledge.

  • 3 year in supporting enterprise systems such as Oracle E-Business Suite/ Oracle Fusion application or Jira Administration.

  • 1 year of doing experience in development work to enable process automation.
