About the role

Network Engineer provides leadership in network design, deployment, maintenance, and 24x7 operational supports.  The successful candidate will be able to multitask in a dynamic global team-based environment demonstrating strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities and the highest degree of professionalism.

Your responsibilities

  • Support/maintain various multi-vendor production network environments critical to the business.

  • Design, configuration and support of real-time market feeds and multicast data related to Internal and customer facing Networks.

  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and performance problems related to Internal and customer facing Networks.

  • Research and design new networking solutions based on given requirements.

  • Assist staff with problem solving and escalation procedures.

  • Understand and follow operational policies/procedures and promote adherence to same.

  • Provide technical knowledge needed to ensure safe, effective, and efficient changes to the network infrastructure.

  • Collaborate and work closely with Pre-Sales, Systems engineering, and Datacenter engineering teams.

  • Participation in 24/7 on-call rotation.


You will have

  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience including deployment and support of customer and WAN networks.

  • Basic understanding of carrier provided MPLS WAN technologies.

  • Knowledge and experience of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP routing skills.

  • Knowledge of two or more network operating systems/platforms including Junos, IOS/NX-OS, EOS.

  • Knowledge of various Juniper (QFX/EX) and Arista (7000 family) devices platforms.

  • Knowledge of multicast design and troubleshooting including IGMP and PIM protocols.

  • Understanding of NAT, route maps/ACLs, routing policies, and IPSEC VPN.

  • Packet capture analysis skills.

  • Understanding of different Linux shell commands and usage, basic server configuration.

  • Ability to differentiate between a critical business impacting incident and a minor problem and resolve/escalate accordingly.

  • B.S. in CS/IT or equivalent relative experience.

  • Must have minimum current Cisco CCNA/CCNP and/or Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS Certification.
