About the role

The incumbent is responsible for intercompany functions supporting APAC and US regions. 

This position is a key role in the Intercompany function within the financial closing. Job holder is
required to perform the duties and responsibilities in accordance with Company Policies and with audit


  • Ensure all Intercompany close activities are completed timely and in accordance with corporate timeline, guidelines and policies.

  • Management of Intercompany activities will include: -

    • Preparation and posting of inter-company Debit Notes.

    • Ensure timely and accurate payments to inter-company vendors via the netting cycle and in accordance with the global netting calendar.

    • Monitor daily intercompany IDOC processing.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve IDOC failure (if any) and perform manual adjustment if necessary.

    • Perform monthly Intercompany reconciliation and confirmation.

    • Investigate, work closely with country controllers to resolve the imbalances / disputed item related to un-reconciled items.

    • Perform month-end task related to intercompany.

    • Able to handle Corporate team queries, investigate and provide resolution during month end closing.

    • Able to handle audit queries related to Intercompany transactions.

    • Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation in accordance with Finance Manual Policy and carry out investigation if any discrepancies noted.

    • Consistently achieve and sustain KPI for Intercompany.

    • Involvement in SOX Audit compliance & other internal/ external audit requirements.

    • Support financial controller in GAAP & local statutory reporting fillings pertaining intercompany.


  • Deliver training to team member as requested and assist with the induction of new team members to ensure understanding of activities and responsibilities.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members.
  • Independently able to research and resolve issues.
  • Promoting a team environment by assisting colleagues whenever necessary.
  • Work closely with CFS AR, AP & GL team and local sites to ensure all month end deliverables are met.
  • Innovation:
  • Assist in decision support and financial analysis for the management to identify opportunities to
  • improve the company’s financial and operational performance.
  • Propose, lead, integrate and develop continuous improvements on accounting/close processes.
  • Assist with system testing ensuring internal controls issues are detected, reported and working
  • as required and assist team with systems issues and raise service desk tickets.
  • Work in various projects, in various capacities, as requested by Management from time to time.



  • Candidate must possess at least an Advanced Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Accounting or any professional qualification.

  • At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

  • (Preferably in Shared Service environment).

  • Possesses strong analytical, problem solving and inter-personal skills.

  • Possesses excellent attention to detail, self-starter, quick learner, independent and team player with ability to drive initiatives and change.

  • Good communication and presentation skills.

  • Proactive and self-motivated with a high level of commitment.

  • Able to work effectively in a team environment, high level of integrity, initiative and a sense of urgency.

  • Operating knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP).

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office application particularly Excel.
