About our client

Our client manufactures edible oil and fat products and provide food R&D services to the market.


About the role

You will manage the day to day HR operational matters with a team of 3-5 direct reports. You will be reporting to the Group Head of HR & administratively to Director Processing Ops. This position is based at Pasir Gudang.


Your responsibilities

  • Act as a HR Business Partner to understand, align and support execution to achieve business objectives.

  • Support in design, development and deployment of segment HR strategies, lead & drive execution of all key strategic initiatives.

  • Support in developing an agile and nimble organization structure and support in annual and long-term manpower planning.

  • Develop Talent acquisition strategies and build a preferred employer branding.

  • Lead and drive performance management initiatives to keep in line with business needs and objectives.

  • Design Talent Management interventions to support high performance culture, retention and attraction.

  • Support in designing the right compensation and benefit structure which will balance long term business and talent management objectives.

  • Lead talent development design and deployment to build a learning culture and support knowledge management practices.

  • Build on current HR Governance framework through benchmarking and best practices study, review, modify and simplify existing policies, procedures and practices.

  • Design and implement initiatives to facilitate an engaged work force.

  • Strengthen internal communication to facilitate top down and bottom up communication flow.

  • Manage healthy industrial relations climate & foreign workers’ management.

  • Build overall HR capability and HR brand within and external environment.


You will have

  • MBA or Degree in Human Resource would be an advantage. 

  • At least 6 years finance or accounting experience

  • Strong team player and ability to handle tasks under pressure and in a timely manner with required quality

  • Working Knowledge of ERP would be preferred

  • Resourcefulness in acquiring knowledge to perform require task

  • Good Interpersonal & Communication Skills

  • Experience: 10-15 years

  • Sound business acumen in a manufacturing / process industry. Experience in Oils & Fats manufacturing business is preferable

  • Proven capability to align HR initiatives to business needs

  • Cross functional HR experience with OD / L&D specialization

  • Experience in Japanese Quality systems, exposure in 6 Sigma is preferable

  • Experience in working on organizational change would be an added advantage
