About the role:

The Head of Finance oversees the day-to-day activities of the finance team and ensures the companies finance function is organized and efficient and produces accurate financial and management accounts. He/she drive the corporate finance and financing activities of the organization.


Your responsibilities

  • Managing financial transaction processes such as fund raising, disposals, acquisitions and mergers, and funding processes.

  • Responsible and prompt action in submitting Group Consolidated financial reporting, statutory reporting, audit, and Bursa announcement. Strict adherence to financial reporting standards, Bursa Listing Requirements, and relevant regulatory guidelines.

  • Management of the finance function and overseeing the finance team.

  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows.

  • Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes.

  • Preparation of Monthly Consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet and timely production of statutory and internal financial reports.

  • Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.

  • Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.

  • Reconcile bank and investment accounts; and manage cash flow.

  • Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting as compared to budget.

  • Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy.

  • Develop and implement finance strategies and plans in support of business strategy and objectives.

  • Cash management and treasury duties and ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.

  • Develop, implement and maintain an effective financial planning and analysis capability that will provide the company with appropriate analytical tools to establish the corporate objectives.

  • Produce monthly financial report and analysis of cost of goods sold and operational expenses against budget, providing explanations and solutions.

  • Develop and monitor performance standards within the department, ensuring they are line with the corporate objectives.

  • Ensure appropriate legal review of contracts and solicit external legal advice as required.

  • Corporate tax planning and ensuring the submission of tax return.

  • Undertake such other duties and tasks relating to the scope of finance.


You will have

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Professional qualification or its equivalent.

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in a similar capacity. Working experience in a Big 4 audit firm and commercial experience in a sizable public listed company is highly preferable.

  • Strong and hands-on accounting technical knowledge.

  • Meticulous attention to detail. Possess a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, proactiveness, and result-oriented.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make judgments and propose solutions in a quality and timely manner and capability to drive for gaps closure.

  • Excellent skills in report presentation, interpersonal communication, and sound data analytical skills.

  • Demonstrate high-level commitment, able to work in a fast-paced environment, sense of urgency, and ability to complete tasks within a tight timeline.
