About the role
The primary responsibility of GL Executive is processing of the finance and accounting transactional activities in Oracle on a timely basis as well as to ensure completeness and accuracy of all entries in the deployed IT enabled tools, Oracle and other ERPs. The GL Executive will be assigned to one of the team dedicated to perform activities for a particular Affiliate in SSC. The GL Executive will be assigned to perform certain specific accounting activities (Payment processing, invoice processing, etc) and are expected to be assigned to any of the activities in the finance processes.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Provide team with documents required to prepare financial, balance sheet reconciliations and audits.

  • Assist in forex revaluation and reclassify variances, when necessary. Prepare journals for revaluations.

  • Prepare journal entries for Affiliates and make adjustments in accordance to feedback provided by

  • Affiliates. Assist during the closing process

  • Assist in preparing documents for monthly balance sheet / bank reconciliation and perform journal adjustments when required.

  • Prepare documents to assist in the preparation of periodic financial statements and related reports, as requested.

 

You will have

  • Academic qualification: Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in finance & accounting; prior experience of working in shared services or office management is preferred.

  • Good knowledge of accounting principles, local and international accounting standards.

  • Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills are required as well as strong customer services skill.

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and strive to achieve team performance objectives.

  • Possesses team player qualities and takes initiative and ownership of assigned duties.

  • Conversant in Oracle (AP) and Microsoft Office suite preferred, but experience with other ERPs may be considered.

  • Strong written and spoken proficiency in English is a pre-requisite; additional proficiency in any one of the Asian Language (Traditional Chinese, Vietnamese, , Bahasa Indonesia and Thai) will be advantageous.
