About our client
Ellwood Consulting is working together with our client who maintains a long history and tradition in managing resorts & clubhouses in Malaysia. The resort has a standing reputation in organizing prestigious events and tournaments to attract members across all Asia next to the running of prime facilities.


About the role
The General Manager position is responsible for managing all the departments and activities for the resort. The role will require successful candidates to work with the heads of the business and staff to maintain high quality standards and deliver maximum value throughout.


Your responsibilities:

  • The General Management function takes charge of all departments
  • Heads of Business that this leadership function looks after includes: F&B, Finance, Maintenance, Sports, Marketing & Events
  • Total span of control includes 150 – 200 staff
  • The key objectives are to drive quality & value for this prestigious organisation
  • Next to the above core responsibilities, marketing & events management will also be essential in order to develop brand perception and strengthen the positioning of the resort in terms of high quality
  • Leading and developing the heads of department along with key staff as high potential talent
  • Driving and improving service levels throughout

You must have:

  • Relevant hospitality/resort/hotel or clubhouse management exposure. Alternatively you must have a strong interest in such and demonstrate experience in a service driven & customer facing business
  • Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality, resort or hotel management would be of benefit for this role  
  • Strong commitment to driving quality & service improvement throughout the organisation
