About the role

The FP&A Lead (Indonesia & Malaysia) is responsible for forward-looking financial leadership focused on value creation and providing insight to drive decisions and results. The FP&A Lead is a senior financial member of the business leadership teams and is a critical business partner, ensuring necessary financial rigor and analytics are effectively in place for the businesses’ planning process.  The FP&A Lead is an active partner in the development of the business strategy, sets clear financially focused targets for the business, ensures effective deployment of capital within the business, and ultimately in partnership with the business Managing Director ensures and is accountable for the achievement of financials results and creation of value for organization. The FP&A Lead will have a strong commercial mindset, supported with deep financial insight.  This role will have a clear, communicated view on the needs and direction of the business. The F&A lead will partner and influence the leadership of the business with necessary financial rigor and analytics.

 

Your responsibilities

50% Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Advises and provides financial leadership to the CFN/CQN Businesses in Indonesia and Malaysia, serving on the leadership team and partnering closely with the all members of the team. 

  • Identifies metrics (i.e. KPIs) to drive performance relative to strategic priorities. Enhance scenario planning analysis for strategic planning activities. 

  • Identify and drive value creation within business (stretch targets), focusing management on most critical risks and opportunities. 

  • Thoroughly understands how to win in our markets and actions necessary to achieve this. 

  • Demonstrates broad/diverse commercial and operational knowledge with a strategic understanding of how all areas come together and operate as a business.

  • Supports the enterprise/business with new business activities and issues resolution, including MADJV, business transactions, tax and customs issues, monitoring the performance of the new acquired business etc. and liaising with legal and other cross-functional departments as necessary. 

  • Understands, translates, and provides insight into business performance against competitor & industry trends. Ability to connect the dots. 

  • Provides financial and change leadership by actively participating in high level business strategy planning. Provides necessary support to accomplish plans/strategy. 

  • Deliver clear presentations to business leaders to help them understand business drivers, financial and operational analytics and how to win.

30% Business Partnership and Leveraging of Resources

  • Collaborates effectively with COE partners in Audit, HR, IT, Tax, Treasury, Risk Management, A&F, etc. 

  • Partners closely with COE and the cross-business/functional senior managers to play an active role in enhancing connectivity and communication. 

  • Able to drive the behavior, results or agenda needed for the business. Has a point of view and communicates it effectively thus influencing colleagues by supporting them, challenging them, providing unique perspective and delivering value. 

  • Partner closely and leverage the Accounting and Finance teams to strengthen financial controls, understand financial reporting and become fluent in financial reporting the GAAP issues that are material to the businesses. Develop a deep understanding of and drive analytics related to cost accounting, margin reporting, management reports, activity-based costing or cost allocation to products and customers, management reports generation, etc. 

  • Champions the Finance Transformation by relying on the Accounting & Finance organization to produce accurate and timely financial and management.

20% Choose and Develop Talent

  • Identify, develop and coach direct reports to ensure a high performing team. Capable of initiating change, empowering the team and driving results. Ensures the right mix of talent, balanced in possessing and growing FP&A skills.

  • Identify talent and champion development opportunities reflective of the business needs, succession plans and growth objectives.  

 

You will have 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or other Business-related degree.

  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience.

  • Strong English Proficiency.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop long term strategic plans.

  • Ability to integrate and interpret disparate sources of data using broad range of analytical data tools. Incorporates use of statistical methodology and predictive modeling techniques. Design, develop and implement value-added business analytics.

  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen. Able to understand the business (products/services, customers, processes) and their key drivers of success.  

  • Demonstrates high degree of curiosity. Invest time and energy into learning. Seeks different points of view and perspectives (internal and external).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Business or Finance.

  • Commercial experience.

  • International business experience.
