About the role

This is continuous improvement (CI) role where you are responsible for driving process discipline and rigor for existing portfolio of initiatives in the Delivery Office. This role plays a key role in coaching, ensuring project management discipline and data correctness.

This role leads all financial-related activities involving the Delivery Office (DO), to include setting the DO’s policy on valuation standards, establishing and enforcing reporting requirements for workstream financial representatives and initiative owners, and ensuring the DO’s initiative tracking database accurately the change effort’s financial progress.

As the business DO process expert, this position will provide support to project managers and initiative owners, and have the opportunity to participate in specific projects.

Liaison with other non-Finance colleagues to ensure full compliance with FIBI Enterprise and Corporate reporting requirements.

This role will report to the Financial Planning and Analysis Lead and will have a dotted reporting line to the CTO of beyond program.


Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for the financials of the Delivery Office, maintaining an up-to-date overview of business initiatives portfolio status, value, timing impact. Support new idea generation/business case building. Ensure smooth implementation process. Reconcile of P&L and IBP (both plan and implementation).

  • Develop and deliver reports and presentations to facilitate decision-making. 

  • Specifically, responsibilities for this role include the following:

    • Running management reports and detailed downloads from our online initiative tracking tool (My PPM -Clarizen) to drive the DO meetings.

    • Establish and enforce valuation principles and examples by category.

    • Oversee process to set FY20 impact targets by workstream (annual responsibility) and ensure reconciliation between baselines .

    • Define handoff between plants / workstreams on volume / productivity initiatives (how do you value them, who owns them).

    • Integrate DO value tracking process with overall Malaysia IBP process.

    • Lead the workstream financial representatives in ensuring all financial impact from the change effort is accurately measured and categorized by stage gate in the DO’s tracking database.

    • Reconcile actual DO financial results to planned DO financial results.

    • Establish impact baseline (i.e. LY actuals) and any critical assumptions that will be utilized in financial tracking throughout year.

  • In liaison with BU Finance, the DO analyst is responsible for fulfilling specific Group, Enterprise and Corporate reporting requirements in relation to the DO initiatives portfolio.

  • Connect and collaborate with other Group DO’ teams to identify, develop and deploy best practices as appropriate to create value for the BU. 

  • Coach, mentor, motivate and develop finance team members to apply proven best practices and tools for project execution and management.

  • Supports business leadership in efforts to establish and enhance business culture of accountability and results delivery.


You will have

  • University degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Above 7 years of working experience.

  • 5+ years of Business Analysis or Finance experience.

  • Fluent in English both writing and speaking.

  • Self-starter with initiative and drive; proactive and ability to operate with high degree of freedom.

  • Strong work ethic to cope in a high paced and challenging organization.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks under pressure is important.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills (dip dive and high-level summary capability).

  • Natural ability to identify, asses, design, lead and follow up business improvement processes.

  • Demonstrated success in business partnering initiatives.

  • Project management, presentation (PowerPoint) and financial/business modeling experiences.

  • Proven success in leading change and challenging the status quo.

  • Ability to interact with and influence all levels of the organization.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.

  • Enthusiastic, hands-on and can-do attitude.

  • Strong MS excel skills.
