About the role
You will be responsible to manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations of one of the America business. You will be reporting to the Deputy CFO.
This role you will be under a full “Working from Home” arrangement and odd working hour start from 9 PM (you will be compensated with night shift allowance).
Responsible for collating, preparing, reviewing and interpreting the provision of timely and accurate monthly and annual financial & management reporting which is in compliance with the Group policies and practices and the country’s GAAP and Financial Reporting Standards.
Identification, development, recommendation and implementation of appropriate internal control system to ensure that the group and company’s interests are protected, established and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company and group.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and supporting the group’s change initiatives.
Ensure all locations reporting requirements are being prepared accurately and on a timely basis which includes daily and monthly of group position and group forex reporting, weekly and monthly AR, AP and inventory reporting, monthly Sales and Purchase reporting, monthly Revenue and Purchase reporting, Futures Profit and Loss reporting and Forex Profit and Loss reporting and all supporting schedules in relation to Balance Sheet items and ensure daily, weekly, monthly processing deadlines are met as required by management.
Ensure all financial records and documents are being maintained and stored in a systematic manner with proper traceability in accordance with the relevant regulatory requirements.
Act as the approval administrator for internet banking channel.
Provide assistance to the location President in the preparation of business plan and responsible for the accurate and timely completion budget and forecast.
Liaise with the auditors to ensure that business in America’s statutory audited reports are in compliance with the relevant statutory regulations and being completed and lodged on a timely basis.
Close liaison between traders and operations department, dealing with internal queries about payments, ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner, maintain accurate records of all chasing activity, propose action to avert indebtedness and propose write off of irrecoverable receivables during year end.
Approve daily payments of America business.
Review the preparation of monthly GTP reports and to monitor that the requirement and conditions of the incentive are being met and to trigger management in the event of non-compliance. Review at the annual GTP survey report.
You will have
- 6 to 10 years of commercial accounting experience preferably in an independent Manager/Assistant Manager role.
- Degree holder or equivalent professional papers.
- Familiarity in a shared service environment is advantageous.
- Candidates must be willing to be hands-on, possess problem solving skills and take initiative to ensure the smooth operation of the functions.
- Willing to travel to America/Singapore when required (once a year or less).
- Able to communicate well across different teams located across different geographical regions.
