Our client is a Public Listed company whose core business is in Plantation.
About the role
You are responsible to provide professional support, guidance and direction on the overall SSHE functions for the Group by ensuring compliance, establishment, maintenance and continual improvements of SSHE Management Systems and other related company certificates (Regulatory Compliance). You must be NIOSH certified. Experience in Chemical Processing plant is highly desirable!
Your responsibilities

Establish and administer a SSHE guidline, strategy and continuous improvement plan for Safety, Security, Health and Environmental (SSHE) operations for the Group.

Review Group SSHE performance and drive improvement from compliance to culture (obligation).

Reviews reports on new or proposed regulatory affairs programs, laws, rules and regulations, examines impact on operations and determines broad operational or program changes.

Develops appropriate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SHE regulatory affairs principles and practices and applicable laws, rules and regulations, monitors compliance within these areas.

Oversee the operation of industrial waste and ensure disposal handling is in compliance with DOE regulations.

Promote and implement SSHE training and SSHE culture among all employees, contractors and visitor.

Carry out and submit periodical inspections / audits on all sites and implement appropriate SSHE improvements in order to ensure compliance.

Ensures all incidents are investigated. Acting as the primary personnel to manage investigations of major incidents within the group. Learning and improvement are cascaded to the Group and implemented.

Harmonize SSHE reporting across the group. Measure KPI and policy effectiveness.
You will have

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies, Health and Safety, engineering or a related field or equivalent education and experience.

Minimum 10 years’ working experience in a manufacturing and or similar industry.

Experience in engineering and plant management will be an added advantage.
