About the role

  • Responsible for business partnering with the sales leadership team to ensure effective and efficient cost management and delivery of financial results. 
  • Provide strategic financial support and ensure successful delivery of sales finance projects.
  • Develop and motivate the sales finance team to create a super engaged team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Partnering with sales team to understand the business requirements and provide strategic financial support.
  • Collaborate across functions to drive effective sales investment.
  • Simulate, analyze and challenge business decisions.
  • Identify and highlight any areas of concern that will impact the business.
  • Monitor actual spend versus budget.
  • Proactively identify areas of risk and identify opportunities to mitigate risk. 
  • Ensure risks and opportunities are communicated effectively to key stakeholders.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting for all On Trade Contractual spend and Region Promotional budgets.
  • Partner with Business Performance Team (BPM) to exploring improvement areas for budget process.
  • Review monthly reporting and variance analysis.
  • Provide annual budget and monthly forecast to the BPM Team.
  • Conduct monthly reviews with budget holder (RSM/CDM) to drive ownership and accountability of financial performance. 
  • Review and present monthly report to Commercial Executive team (MD, SD, FD).
  • Develop and coach team members to ensure the team is able to perform and deliver their tasks.
  • Effectively delegate and support the team in prioritization and scheduling of work assignments. 
  • Manage career development and progression for direct reports.
  • Ensure sales finance team operates in accordance with GAB Code of Conduct and policies and procedures.
  • Drive compliance and awareness amongst the sales team.
  • Ensure effective controls are in place to manage the business.
 

You will have

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. Chartered Accountant preferred.
  • Preferably in Commercial FMCG environment.
  • Good analytical skills, results driven, pro-active, flexible to changing priorities and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated business partnering and influencing skills. 
  • Able to communicate well and have proven record of strong people management skills.
  • Proficient in interpreting financial results and strong problem solving skills.
