About our client

Our client is a global biopharmaceutical company focused on human health. They are looking for a Senior Associate for Cash Application to be part of the Order to Cash team.


About the role

Assist the shared service centre in processing cash application transactions


Your responsibilities

Cash Application transaction processing

  • Post daily cash receipts through manual and automated methods such as Electronic Bank Statement, EDI, or Lockbox processing based on customer remittance detail. Understand the unique requirements of these processes and insure maintenance of system to enable accurate postings.

  • Monitor bank account statements reconcile unapplied cash accounts.

  • Work with internal/external customers to resolve payment differences.

  • Identify and clear offsetting related customer debit and credit items.

  • Handle offsetting and write-off requests of the Collectors according to policy.

  • Execute outbound payment transactions to settle customer credit items.

  • Perform month-end closing activities.

Effective communications with other business areas for points of integration.

  • Respond to inquiries from other business areas regarding cash postings.

  • Interact with Ecommerce, Treasury, General Accounting, and the Regional bank to resolve Cash payment and remittance advice receipt and application issues.

  • Collaborate with BPKC and IT for resolution of business process and system issues.

Business process development/enhancements and focus on technical proficiency and efficiency

  • Recommend and implement business process improvements.

  • Leverage SAP to the fullest extent possible.

  • Perform regression testing as necessary.

Sarbanes-Oxley Controls and Financial audits for Order-to-Cash (O2C)

  • Perform standard and ad hoc analyses/reports as requested by the internal and external financial auditors and effectively communicate the results.

Special project work as it is identified


You will have

  • Diploma / Degree in Accounting/Business or equivalent.

  • Minimum two (2) years working experience in Cash Application.

  • Demonstrated ability in research and issues resolution with proven ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts.

  • Process improvement experience would be an advantage.

  • Must understand the fundamentals of accounting and recognize the accounting transactions associated with cash application management.

  • Experience using SAP R/3 (or similar financial accounting software) and Microsoft Excel.
