Our client is an innovative solutions provider within the Financial Services industry.


About the role

As their Automation Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of test plans and strategies of their applications and systems. You will work in a team with other testers, architects, scrum masters, software engineers, and project managers to deliver new applications and new enhancements and updates of existing applications.


Your responsibilities

  • Review requirements, specifications, and design documents.

  • Create manual test cases, checklists and other types of test documentation.

  • Write automation test scripts for API, Mobile and Web based on OpenSource frameworks like Selenium, Appium and Cucumber among others.

  • Estimate the required testing time for each user story.

  • Perform functional and regression tests on mobile/web clients and backend services.

  • Prepare test summary reports.

  • Collaborate with, and provide status updates to Software Engineers and Product Leads.

  • Monitor app performance and suggest methods to improve.

  • Provide support for resolving customer issues and finding root cause.


You will have 

  • At least 3 years relevant working experience as an Automation Test Engineer.

  • Experience in planning and creating automated tests for web applications using tools like Selenium, Appium and Katalon Studio.

  • Able to code and ideally have written some of your own.

  • Hands-on experience with testing mobile applications, web applications, and REST APIs.

  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.

  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.

  • Practical experience with bug tracking systems (JIRA).



Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
