Our client is a refined oils and fats company with vision to be the top 3 players in the market.
About the role
You will manage the financial and management accounting of the business and report to a Finance and Accounting Manager.
Your responsibilities

Prepare financial statement in conformity with the Malaysian and International Financial Reporting Standards and as per statutory requirements.

Ensure that all accruals, provision, prepaid adjustments etc., are completed before the month closing.

Ensure the presence of an effective internal control environment, financial monitoring system & operating procedures for safeguarding company’s assets processes, with effective ERP systems management.

Ensure Monthly Accounts Schedules are prepared and reviewed with no pending items.

Ensure the Expenses claims are properly authorized.

Check and verify the payments are supported by proper invoice, GRN, PO etc.

Check the balance sheet ledgers like Accruals (mainly PK and Oil), Provision, prepaid etc.

Manage inventory records for the property, plants, machinery and equipment owned by the company.

Support the finance team in analyzing and reporting on weekly Trading Profit and Loss and Forex cover report.

Assist in the preparation of Management Report as required.

Analyze and report the sales and spread variance with reasoning. Prepare and analyze key financial metrics as well as develop presentation slide for management meeting.
You will have

Professional Finance and Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or ICAEW).

At least 6 years finance or accounting experience.

Strong team player and ability to handle tasks under pressure and in a timely manner with required quality.

Working Knowledge of ERP would be preferred.

Resourcefulness in acquiring knowledge to perform require task.

Good Interpersonal & Communication Skills.
